Pay By Bank
Now you can have your participating bank or credit union pay your monthly Roughrider Electric Cooperative energy bill, automatically! Roughrider Electric's Pay-By-Bank option allows the amount of your monthly electric bill to be automatically deducted from your bank account. There's no check to write, no payment to mail and best of all, Pay-By-Bank is free.
How does the Pay-By-Bank program work? Each month you will still receive a bill from Roughrider Electric showing the amount due and the due date of your payment. The day the payment is due, the amount due will be automatically deducted from your checking or savings account. There is no check to mail, no postage to pay, Pay-By-Bank takes care of this for you.
What does Pay-By-Bank cost me? Nothing at all. In fact, you will save money and time - no check writing cost, no postage expense and your billed amount will be deducted on the due date of the bill. This way the money stays in your account as long as possible.
Can I rely on Pay-By-Bank to pay my bill? Absolutely. All you have to do is make sure there is enough money in your account to cover your bill. Pay-By-Bank takes care of the rest. Your bill is always paid and your credit is always in good standing.
What if I have a dispute on my bill? If you have a dispute on your billing, you can authorize your bank to stop payment on your Pay-By-Bank payment for that month. However, if you do have a dispute on your billing, please contact us first to attempt to resolve the dispute. Normally there will be 20 days between receipt of your bill from Roughrider and the day the payment is deducted from your account.
What if I am on budget billing? Pay-By-Bank will work perfectly for you. Your budget amount will be automatically deducted on the due date of your bill each month. This amount will stay the same for the course of the budget-billing year.
